The Memmert waterbath is available in six model sizes and two performance classes. In addition to the Basic class for standard temperature control tasks, the Excellent version provides precise test procedures with a maximum of safety: electronic overtemperature control and a wide range of visual and acoustic signals; for example if the filling level is too low, for overtemperature, but also for input acknowledgement or to signalise the end of the programme. In the largest model, an optional circulation pump provides an even better thermal uniformity of the water.

Heating concept with dual benefits

The superior heating concept of the Memmert ovens can also be found in the waterbaths. Protected from water, but still close to the load, the heating lies under deep-drawn and easy to clean ribs. The heating elements can therefore neither corrode nor become furred. Through their positioning in the floor and side walls, a natural mixing of the temperature control fluid arises, providing better temperature distribution in the bath. 

Waterbath cooling with Peltier technology

When setpoint temperatures close to the ambient temperature are required in the waterbath to be as constant as possible, the unique Peltier cooling unit CDP 115 cools the medium water down to 10 °C precisely, economically and in an eco-friendly way, with a precision of ±0.1 K. For all appliances from 7 to 45 litres it can be easily retrofitted, without any technical knowledge. Your benefits:

For safe and precise test procedures in the laboratory that have to meet the strictest requirements of thermal safety, we recommend the Excellent class for our waterbath.

A multifunctional fuzzy controller, with permanent performance adjustments and integrated self-diagnosis system, as well as two high-quality platinum temperature sensors Pt100, ensure reliable temperature control and the highest process safety and control precision in the Memmert heating bath for the temperature control medium water.

  • Temperature range: 10 °C to 95 °C plus boiling stage
  • Temperature variation (time): < ±0.25 °C
  • Triple overtemperature protection: If the electronic heating control should fail, heating is switched off at a fixed level of 10 °C above the setpoint. Electronic overtemperature monitor: With a precision of 0.1 °C, the monitoring temperature can be set up to 10 °C above the rated temperature. Depending on the type of overtemperature protection selected (can be chosen by the user in the setup menu), the adjustable temperature control TWW protection class 3.1 takes over control at a preset temperature in case of failure, or the electronic temperature limiter TWB protection class 2 switches heating off permanently if the temperature is exceeded. In addition a mechanical temperature limiter, TB, switches heating permanently off if the maximum bath temperature set at the factory is exceeded by 30 °C, or if the fluid level is too low.
  • 2 high-grade platinum temperature sensors Pt 100 in a 4-wire circuit (for stable long-term transmission of measurement signals) with mutual sensor monitoring and operation transfer at same working temperature
  • Possibility of calibration on the controller
  • Programmable digital timer (1 min. to 999 hrs min. with adjustment to the minute up to 99 hrs 59 min., accuracy to the hour above this ) for setting the Delay (delayed programme start) as well as Hold (residual operation time). In addition the start of the hold time can be made dependent on the set temperature being reached
  • Visual alarm and acoustic signalling of overtemperature and of too low fluid level
  • Circulation pump only for waterbath WPE 45: Circulation pump can additionally be switched on via the controller for optimal thermal uniformity in the large volume waterbath
